Life Inc Directory

How it works

One page per kind of thing. The thing you own stays in your wallet; the page never learns it is yours.

Who can read what

  • Everyone. Specs, photos, parts, where to buy, where to fix, recalls. No account needed.
  • Members. Anything a writer marked for Life Inc members.
  • Connected businesses. Trade terms, batch sheets and contracts a maker shares with businesses it has agreed with.
  • Owners. Manuals, warranty terms and the handling card for robots and AI, for people whose wallet holds the item. A maker may ask for a receipt.

Two layers on every page

The business that proves its brand writes the official layer, shown first with its name. Anyone with an account writes the community layer underneath, each section labelled as a member's. A maker can dispute and reply to a member's section; it can never delete reviews, known issues, or counts. Every edit is signed by name; there are no anonymous edits.

Parts within parts

A part is a page too. A bike lists its chain; the chain's page lists every bike it fits. Who said so is always shown: the maker, an aftermarket maker, or members. Owners who hold both can confirm "I fitted this", counted only above five.

Your thing stays yours

A wallet item points at its page. The page only ever counts holders, and only above five, and never names one. Your serial, photos, price paid, log book and service records live in your wallet and are shared only when you choose, for a sale, a trade or a repair.

Scan to page

A barcode number resolves at /01/<number>. A serial sent with it is checked against the stolen list and then dropped; nothing is stored.
